You may include music into an Instagram Story in a handful of different ways. There are two ways to add music to your Instagram Story video: using the Instagram Music sticker, or doing so beforehand.

How to add a music sticker to your Instagram story?

As of June 2018, Instagram users could add a music sticker to their Stories. It’s a great way to spice up your Stories with some music and sound effects. You can learn more about choosing peppy commercial tunes for your next IG stories advertising video here, and we’ll also teach you how to add music to an Instagram Story without the sticker in the next part.

We’ll get into the specifics of the how-to down below, but here’s the first step:

  • Flesh out an all-new Instagram Tale.
  • Select the sticker option from the menu bar.
  • Select the “Music” sticker by tapping on its icon.
  • Choose some music
  • You may pick and choose which parts of the music to play.
  • When you’re ready to include the tune in your narrative, just press the “Done” button.

Now we’ll get into the nitty-gritty details! The Music sticker may be used on any Instagram Story if you have access to it. When making a Story, it can be accessed by selecting the sticker icon (a small square with a smiling face) at the top of the screen. Select the Music sticker and tap it to begin.
When you do, a new window will pop up where you can narrow your music search by selecting from options like “Popular,” “Moods,” and “Genres.” Instagram provides access to a library of licenced music that may be used in Instagram Stories. A sticker will appear on your narrative while the music plays, labelling the song and the artist, however you may only use it for up to 15 seconds at a time (the duration of a narrative).
You may preview songs by scrolling and clicking the play button, or you can use the “Search music” form at the top of the page to locate a certain piece of music.

Simply clicking on a song will add it to your narrative. This will bring up a new screen where you may move the centre box of the song’s chronology to the desired spot in your narrative.
The duration of the music will automatically adjust to fit the length of your video when you upload it. The default duration for postings including a still image is 15 seconds, however you may reduce this by tapping the “15 SECS” button.

When you’re done, just hit the “Done” button. Doing so will insert the stamp into your narrative. To move or resize, press and hold, and use the controls at the bottom of the screen. If you’re happy with your Story, click “Send To >” to send it to others.
