
Don’t throws away the old stuff, it still valuable sometime. That’s happen to Yahoo Mail when, Yahoo unexpectedly bring Yahoo Messenger to the Yahoo Mail Classic or old Yahoo Mail.
A move that surely bring cheers to Yahoo Mail old timer user, who still prefer using old Yahoo Mail as opposed to the new Ajax-based style Yahoo Mail.
But, it will only available on the next couple of months. So at the meantime, stick to your desktop based Yahoo Messenger or use Meeobo.
Sadly though, the annoucement post is spammed by unwanted and hated comments. Where is the mod?

After about a month in beta, it seems like Yahoo Mail open applications is now available to everyone. See that this morning on my, and my wife yahoo account. Previously, only users who have registered for beta tester are able to test it, but only from the beta URL.
Additionally, there are also few more applications has been added into the application gallery such as ‘Family Journal’.
When it run on Google Chrome, the new Yahoo Mail also requesting permission to allow it accessing Google Gears (it never asking anything before). Does that means the Yahoo Mail open application now using Google Gears to improve its perfomance??

The quest for the new Yahoo CEO is finally end. Carol Barts, a former CEO of Autodesk was finally choosen as the new Yahoo CEO affective immediately.
Stand right in front of Carol is the once mighty internet giant who has lost it’s shine. In recent years, Yahoo which still maintain the postion as the world’s most visited website, has failed miserably on its attempt to monetize their online asset.
Its share of internet advertising, declining quarter to quarter thanks to the Project Panama failure and the emergence of Google’s Adsense & Adwork program and the acquisition of Doubleclick.
Most importantly, she face a daunting task to retain its most prized asset, the talented employees from moving out of the in-trouble company to Yahoo chief competitors such as Microsoft & Google.
Expecting massive reorganisation and restructuring soon once she take the helm. Let see if Carol can bring Yahoo back to its good old days.

About a year ago, I use YSlow for sometime to analyze my sites performance and other metrics that influence it. It will then suggesting what should be modified to improve it.
YSlow then grading sites based on the points accumulated from different factors. I still remember where Google and Yahoo graded ‘A’ with 99 and 90 points respectively.
So when I stumble about YSlow 2.0 slides today, it remind me back of YSlow (first version) which only works on Firefox.
The slide filled with lots of technical stuff, but this is basically what YSlow 2.0 going to offered.
