Yahoo Mail open apps or simply called Yahoo Mail apps was introduced last year, but it never took off as expected. There are only 12 apps (including Yahoo feedback app) in Application Gallery as of today, which by standard of other app store(especially mobile), is disastrous end result.
It may not Yahoo ultimate goal to grows the number of apps, but merely to provide ‘average’ value-added service to it’s users beside the primary goal… email. Anyhow, these are some of Yahoo Mail apps that you may interested, out of 12 apps.

As an app, Paypal feature in Yahoo App is quite limited to Send Money and Request Money only. For both function, you’ll fill up all information requested while you still in Yahoo screen, but you still being directed to Paypal login page for sign in and completed the transaction. Anyway, I feel more secure this way, although I still prefer to accomplish everything directly in Paypal website.

Flickr, a photo and video sharing portal allows you to share photos via email directly, even when you have no Flickr account. However, you can only share the photos made available for public. If you have Flickr account, you need to sign-in which include steps for Flickr to authorize you to use Flickr in Yahoo Mail. Once you’re in, you’re free to share your own photos with the rest of the world.

Automatic Organizer or actually called Other Inbox is service that automatically grouped your email based on subject. Or here is how the define their own service
Organizes low priority messages — newsletters, coupons, promotions, receipts, etc into folders, which prioritizes email from real people in your Inbox, and summarizes it all in a digest so you don’t miss anything important
If you first time run the application, is will requesting for authorization, and once you did, it will scan through out your mail box. As it progress, it will display the number of your emails, and it’s summary. By the end of the process, your emails (not all) will be grouped into folders based on topic that Other Inbox determined based on it’s own algorithms.
It’s quite useful if you have unmanageable inbox which receive recurring emails over the time.

My Zumo Drive is another free online storage with 1GB storage limit. Just like drop.io, it allows you to upload the files with maximum 100MB in size and then attached it on your outgoing email except that Zumo Drive require registration before using the service. It works the same way, where you upload the file and uploaded file will be attached to the outgoing email.
