Microsoft Announce Xbox Live Games Titles For Windows Phone 7

Since the day 1 Microsoft announced their upcoming mobile platform which one of the ‘killer’ feature is  integrating Xbox Live, many keep guessing what games title will available during the launch day, and today your curiosity has been answered. Microsoft has released the list of Xbox Live titles going to be available on Microsoft Windows Phone 7 at Gamescom 2010. All these games, totaled 60 initially will available immediately during the launch day, and more games will be released afterward.

What’s unique about the gaming platform in Windows Phone 7 is the seamless integration with Xbox Live platform. The cross platform gaming allows the same games to be played in multiple platform such as Zune and Xbox Live, stop and paused in one platform and continue playing the paused game on another platform . To simplify the process for porting the Xbox Live game to Windows Phone 7 platform, Microsoft use XNA Game Studio,  framework and other related tool which made that process less hassle.

Windows Phone 7 Series Demo Shows Live Tiles & Cross Platform Gaming

Microsoft’s quest to introduce Windows Phone 7 series to the world continue with the demo at Microsoft Tech Ed Middle East. The 2 demos are how Live Tile works and as cross platform game playing in phone and Xbox live.

I prefer this to be Live Tiles demo instead of multitasking demo as some suggest – The panelist explain the concept of Live Tiles, and demo creating Live Tiles from one of IE’s web pages, and pin into the start menu. The website which now appears as Live Tile will get updated real time, as the web site updated. Live Tiles can be many and each will get updated real time.  Erm, sound like multi tasking anyone?

Cross Gaming Platform – This is one of the sought after feature in Windows 7 Phone Series that yet to be demoed so far. So in this video, a game was played in a smartphone (with accelerator and touch demoed as well) and stopped. When the same game played on Xbox, it resumed back from the spot it stopped before in the smartphone.  Looks promising right?
