Call me slow, I don’t care… but hey.. I just update our iPhone OS to iPhone OS 3.0 ( I know 3.1 is out now), unlocked and jailbreak it by myself.. Isn’t that great?? I’m 100 poorer if I bring iPhone to Lowyat plaza for unlocking purpose..
Why it took so long to update it? It is unofficial unlock set, so I need to know how to unlock it back after the OS update. The real problem is i’m lacking the skill to do that (and reluctant+lazy to learn it). Scared that I’ll swap away the whole data inside as well.
But on 1 peaceful morning during Ramadhan, after Sahur, the ‘interest’ to update it suddenly popping up inside my head. Before that also, I’m quite frustrated with the denial of service, whenever I want to install new apps from app store, due to obsolete OS.
Forumers at Lowyat.net deserve the BIG THANKS for posting SUPER useful information, from A to Z about iPhone. Trust me, there are tonnes of iPhones info there. You can pick it up by yourself in short period of time, because it was neatly arranged.
I have zero experience in OS update, unlock, jailbreak stuff. I’m just the the user, yeah. To learn, gather all required software, complete the backup, upgrade, unlock + jailbreak and restore took me 1 day. I know you can do it better than that.
It’s pretty simple you know… (confident tone after finishing everything with no major issue). Too lazy to visit the forum? Here is the preview of ABC about iPhone that you should know if you wannabe iPhone Guru.
