nokia 5800 Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Tube officially released in Malaysia

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or Nokia Tube finally made it debut in Malaysia after first announced on October last year. Nokia throws a party at Pavilion to officiating the release last Friday(9th January).

This is the first touch screen phone from Nokia and definitely anticipated by Nokia fan around the globe. When other mobile phone manufacturers has developed numbers of phone of this kind, it is quite odd, why the world’s largest mobile phone maker wait until the very last minute to produce one. Wait for the best, and then run from behind grabbing the market share from the competitors right under their nose??

That’s quite true looking at the party’s atmosphere here and here.

Well, talking about touch screen phone, it is very synonym with the iPhone. Although they’re not the first, but iPhone has revolutionize how the touch screen phone should be with seamless touch experience.  So does Nokia 5800, which has not been excluded from being compared to iPhone as well. But as it branding mention, Nokia 5800 are more toward the music experience, while iPhone is great on internet browsing experience and the iPhone application.

Nokia 5800 is fully loaded with lots of features. Some highlight from the Nokia 5800 specifications screen – A-GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, WIFI, 3G, HSDPA, 8GB Micro disk(come with the phone), 3.2 wide screen with touch display, integrated speaker, 8.8 hours talk time and etc

The recommended retail price is MYR1499, which made this phone quite affordable and within the rich to users. Its worth considering what you got inside, its feature rich and the typical Nokia design that appeal to users. The AP(grey market) price could be lower little bit but use with your own risk.

For the record, iPhone 3G 8gb and Nokia N82 priced at approximately MYR22++ and MYR18++ respectively.

Sadly, I don’t have it although I wish to have one. But if you already fall in love with it, but curious how good or bad it is, head to smashpop. There are number of posts related to the author’s experience of using it.
