After long dry spell from introducing new Android smartphone, Celcom has added Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini 10 during it’s Raya Phone Sale. Price starting from RM548 with RM250 monthly commitment for 1 year contract. But Rm118 monthly subscription fee looks more reasonable for those in budget, though the phone is priced slightly higher at Rm708, with 1 year contract as well.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is considered as entry-level Android smartphone with reasonably good specification such as Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor, 5 MP, 2560х1920 pixels, autofocus, LED flash camera although the OS it is running on Android 1.6 is outdated.

The story about Sony developing Android smartphone with PSP Go functionality, which appear on Engadget is indeed very exciting. After Microsoft unveil it’s incoming Windows Phone 7 going to have Xbox games, it is just a matter of time other console player will follow the suit. Why? The reason is simple, smartphone is going to be dominant device in future, everything will be ported to smartphone, making it appeal to the mass.
Sony’s Android with PSP Go smartphone, if it is real is going to be the phone loved by many. Android fan combine with Sony fan, how about that? And well, don’t get confused, the above pictures is the mock up device from Engadget, but the real smartphone is said to be cross between Samsung Captivate (one flavor of Samsung Galaxy S available in the US) and PSP G0. Well, we’re talking about 4+- inch device.
Going further inside, 1Ghz snapdragon processor is the ideal candidate to power it up. Android 3.0 is possibly the OS it is going to run. What make it cool, on top of Android games, other popular PSP Go games will be available as well; I think this is a must have ingredient if this project to be succeed. The Android Market might have additional space for these games, and you know what, other smartphone which met the requirement might as well accessing this games! Ops, don’t overjoy, this is still in early stage and there might change plan as well, but with Engadget credibility, this story looks very very promising.

Apparently, Maxis is not releasing only 1 new Android smartphone, but 2 model actually. As yesterday post is sourcing the info from HTC Malaysia, so its focus is on their Android smartphone only. So HTC Wildwire as most already know together with Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini are 2 new Android smartphone introduced by Maxis yesterday. The phone price can be viewed above, which comes with data and voice package with contract. If you notice, Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy (not Galaxy S), HTC Legend no longer available. It is either the smartphone is out of stock or having weak demand from users.
