Having an Iphone would make you want to have a ringtone of your own favourite songs, but with Iphone, it’s not as easy as other handphones, such as Sony Ericsson, my previous handphone. I’m not going to compare between these two brands, each has their own plus and minus things, but the main point is with SE , I just need to simply add in my favourite songs in the phone, and I can simply choose any songs to be the ringtone.

However, with Iphone, I need to either buy a ringtone, or make my own ringtone. Into the topic of making Iphone ringtones, first, you need to have a ringtone maker software. There are number of ringtone maker software on the net, some of which you need to buy, but there are also free software available. But with ‘free’, any consequences are liable to oneself.

I stumbled upon a free iphone ringtone maker software, and I’m going to share on how to use it. It’s quite simple actually.

1. First we need to download the software, on which you can find it here. It’s called Techlogg.com ToneShop Easy Tone Creator Build 21.

2. Next, choose Apple Iphone (AAC, .m4r) as the desired ringtone format (as I’m going to make ringtones for Iphone).

3. Identify the locations of file source and destination of the ringtone that’s to be created.

4. Start cropping your song. I was informed that for Iphone ringtone, it should never exceed 40s, but I haven’t tried cropping to exceed 40s. To crop, ‘Play’ the song, ‘Stop’ at where you want your ringtone to start (you can replay again to get your ideal starting point). Do the same for the ending (‘Finish’) of the ringtone. To improvise the ringtone, you can ‘Preview’ it, and you can play with the numbers in the ‘Start’ and ‘Finish’ boxes in order to get the perfect ringtone that you desire

5. The final step, ‘Convert’ it, and here you go, your ringtone
