A day after Celcom start Blackberry Curve 3G or Curve 9300 pre-order, the ball is on Maxis and Digi to follow suit. And Maxis just went a step ahead by starting pre-registration for Curve 3G as well as the hottest (and the newest) Blackberry smartphone, Blackberry torch 9800.
Blackberry Torch 9800 is the only Blackberry smartphone running on Blackberry 6 and equipped with QWERTY keyboard and touch screen. This is the most anticipated Blackberry smartphone this year with over 150k sales in US and Canada alone. Not date given when the smartphone will hit Maxis store.
Celcom appear to be the first telco to offer Blackberry Curve 9300 aka Blackberry Curve 3G here in Malaysia. The pre-booking is available from today until 30th August and limited to the first 100 customers only. It is available at any Celcom Bluecube nationwide with RM50 upfront payment and the smartphone can be collected on 3rd September onward. No pricing yet available as well which package will comes with the smartphone at this point of time.
The newest rumors on the RIM’s upcoming tablet called Blackpad is that, it won’t be running on Blackberry 6! Instead of that, it will running on other operating system, built by QNX. RIM must be kidding now, what a Blackberry device without Blackberry OS? If this is real, this is gonna be one huge gamble made RIM, but after all, Blackpad table itself is a gamble, am I right?
Apparently, according to Mobile World article, Blackberry Curve 3G to hit Malaysian stores in September. That’s great news considering that our neighbor in Indonesia will receive this smartphone on the time as well. The article also confirmed that Blackberry Curve 3G will receive upgrade to Blackberry 6 in coming months. With this smartphone, it looks like Blackberry have candidate winner for entry level smartphone category.
Blackberry Bold 9650 is wildly popular smartphone due to it’s slickness and the premium feel on the whole package. Now, you know that Bold 9650 is among the luckiest few Blackberry smartphone to receive Blackberry 6 update, but it still pending telco testing.
