We know that the offline Gmail is almost fully functioning on the computer where no internet connection available. But apparently, this demo video showing that the mobile version of offline Gmail is being developed and works on iPhone and Android phone.
Why offline Gmail is important for certain people when GMail’s emails can be downloaded as POP3 or IMAP?
Although the default email app in iPhone for instance, can still showing emails when your phone disconnected, but it is limited for the last 30 emails. And the most importantly, you can’t use Gmail’s functionality such as labeling, move the email and etc.
