As announced last month, Nokia N900 is now officially available in Malaysia, at least in Nokia Malaysia website. Little to be known if this phone already available through out Nokia retail store or it’s authorized seller, although the non official version already available in grey market since last month.
What make Nokia N900 unique is, it is the first Nokia phone running Nokia’s newest OS, dubbed Maemo 5. Maemo5 is an open source OS from Nokia to challenge the reigning smart phone OS such as iPhone OS and Android.
But Maemo5 stand alone existence doesn’t stay long. At MWC 2010, it has been announced that Nokia’s Maemo 5 will be merged with Intel’s own mobile operating system, Moblin to form a brand new platform called MeeGo.
The phone is estimated to be priced between RM2480 to RM2560.
