The new promotion on HP Mini 2133 notebook line item that I spot on today newspaper is very attractive.
The lowest spec, which is powered by Via C7-M Processor 1GHz and run on Linux OS is starting only at RM1099. Its slightly powerful sibling powered by similar processor with different clock speed which at 1.2Ghz and run on Windows XP started at RM1499. For comparison, when it was first released last year, it sold at around RM1500/USD499 and above.
See other specifications below.

What make this deal more sweet, it comes with free 160 GB Western Digital external hardisk. From the external looks, this is WD Element that I bought for RM169 during last PC Fair.
To me, this is a bargain except that HP Mini 2133 Notebook is only powered by VIA Chip. But it still worth buying, if you need beautifully designed netbook with with budget around 1k
The way the promotion currently on run, with all this aggressive pricing, seems indicating that HP is trying to get rid of this model as soon possible, to make way for a new netbook lines powered by a Intel Atom n280?

This netbook no longer available on Malaysia HP online store. If you interested, looks for HP authorised resellers or it partners.
