Barely a month after MAS introduced flymas.mobi, a mobile optimized website for flight booking, check-in and inquiry purposes, an iPhone app with similar features is now available at Apple App Store beginning 11-Jan-09.

The app has exactly the same feel, and interface as the website version, except that you’ll be greeted with a beautiful lady dressed in MAS’s formal outfit.

By the time I have this app installed in my iPhone, it was sitting at the top 3 rank of iPhone ‘s top free application list. It may have dropped few ranks by  now, common for newly released apps.

If you use iPhone and frequently visit flymas.mobi, the app should provide greater experience in terms of speedy download rate, as it will only download data, without graphic and user interface.

iVideoCamera : Video Recording App for iPhone 2G and 3G

4194856138 b902eb1022 o iVideoCamera : Video Recording App for iPhone 2G and 3G

It is not a secret that there is no video recording app for iPhone 2G and 3G in iPhone App Store, unless you jailbreak your iPhone and install CyCorder from Cydia. And that’s what most users who purchase  iPhone from grey market did with their iPhone. You know it’s kinda odd that phone with camera cannot record the video, right?

But good news gentlemen, because video recording app at is now available ‘officially’ at App Store with the release of iVideoCamera, although you have to fork out 99 cent to install it into your phone. It have received fairly criticism from blog-sphere particularly due to its poor video quality, low resolution and low frame rate per second. Nevertheless,  it’s better to have it than never, if you’re not willing to jailbreak your iPhone.

Bonus point as stated in the app description, you can save and share your photos via social media website such as Facebook, Youtube and etc. Head to App Store from iPhone to install it.

By adding this service, iPhone app developers can take advantage of Facebook popularity to attract more users to download their application too.

While Facebook has nothing to worry about iPhone and its app store (it has no mobile service business), Google at the other hand has Android which trailing behind iPhone app. It has to consider every aspect before deciding to integrate Google Friend Connect with iPhone as well as Android.

One of our favorite game in iPhone, Tap Tap Revenge 2 is among the earliest application being integrated with Facebook Connect . Having plays this game even before we own an iPhone, we can’t be more thankfulness of the new release and its FB integration.  If you’re one of the fan, don’t forget to download the latest version and integrated it with your Facebook.

Amazon unveiled Kindle for iPhone & iPod Touch application

kindle iphone 150x133 Amazon unveiled Kindle for iPhone & iPod Touch applicationiPhone and iPod owners who loves to read Kindle e-books title, but didn’t own any Amazon Kindle has another reason to proud of their gadget.  They no longer need Amazon Kindle..

That’s none other than because, Amazon has released Kindle for iPhone, an application that allow Amazon e-books titles to be use and read in iPhone.

My curiosity to try this application, turn out to be quite disappointing, as the app is only available for US users at the moment. In case you curious how it’s looks like, I have ‘borrowed’ one screen shot from iphonebuzz at the bottom of this post.

Unlike Amazon Kindle, users can’t buy Kindle e-book title from within this application, but there is always web browser as alternative. Other cool feature is, if you own any Kindle e-books title, you can sync the e-books between your iPhone and your Kindle.

There is free titles for Kindle too. Great! Can’t wait it to be here.

Klick upload pictures directly to Flickr from iPhone

It is not surprising, how iPhone topping the list of most pictures uploaded by camera phone category in Flickr. Thanks to iPhone app, you can snap photos and immediately uploaded it right into Flickr without hassle of using any tools of from the Flickr web page itself.

One such application is Klick.  Everything can be accomplished on this app, from taking the pictures until the pictures uploaded into Flickr. All done in less than 3 minutes.

That’s not the only thing this app can do. Just like on Flickr page, you can keep track of your last update as well as your contact recent activities. You can also view your photo by set, jumping to other group and etc. Almost all basic feature that you need to view pictures is available here, except organizing the picture.

One great feature that seems not working here in Malaysia is the feature to locate pictures taken around you. Probably because there is actually no picture taken around my place, or the app can’t detect the exact location where this iPhone is located.

But overall, this app going to ‘live’ longer in my iPhone.

Here, some screen shots that I take to show how this app workings.
