My son Luqman, is one year old last month. He just started walking and his parent has to keep an eye on him all the time.

On such early age, he has shown his ‘interest’ on gadgets (actually all thing, but gadget is his preferable).  I guess other kids develop similar habit too based on my observation on his cousins. He loves all, but one he loves most if my Sony Ericsson.

See the photo of the ‘victim’ on the right. I can’t recall how many times he has bitten,  thrown and dropped this pity gadget.

We bought toy such as colorful Fisher mobile phone for him, but manage to attract him on the first 5 minutes. He seems to know that Fisher-price phone is toy, no light on the screen and no nice ringing tone.

To my surprise, he doesn’t show such interest to iPhone (lucky). Yeah, he touch and hold it too. But the excitement is not there. Contrary to the pity Sony Ericsson which he will tightly hold and cried loudly whenever I took it from him, he let us take iPhone freely from him.

I wonder why? I guess the black color case  doesn’t look as beauty as silver Sony Ericsson to him. It is heavier than it too. And then, the iPhone minimalist design with less fancy button on its side, doesn’t looks attractive to him.

Usually he loves the screen especially when it light up. But iPhone screen doesn’t light up automatically when he touch or press the screen, except from the home button.  Sony Ericsson’s phone screen which will light up whenever any button touched or press.

Probably this is one the ‘biggest advantage’ of keypad-less phone over the traditional keypad phone.

That means now, I can browse and read my favorites sites quite comfortably, and at the same time keep an eye on him. 2 in 1.  I still blogging from my notebook. No better typing experience compared to the full size notebook.
