HTC Prepares Two More Android Smartphone With HTC Bee and Lexikon?

Well, if the rumors is true, there will be 2 more Android smartphone from HTC coming out, probably soon. Called HTC Bee and HTC Lexikon, both smartphone will running on Android 2.2, no worry on upgrade part. By looking on the spec, it is pretty clear that HTC Bee is targeted at entry level model, while HTC Lexikon on the mid range level.

HTC Bee spec remind me of my HTC Magic. it has almost similar spec (not exactly same) in term of CPU speed and screen size. HTC Bee has more superior in RAM and ROM, and camera resolution, which now comes with flash. Meanwhile, HTC Lexikon spec if inches from being categorized as high end model, probably on purpose. Even that, it still have 800 Mhz CPU clock speed, 3.8 inch display as well as 512 RAM (on par with HTC Desire).  Interestingly, HTC Lexikon will have Qwerty keyboard, so does it means it will have both capacitive touch screen and keyboard?

Unfortunately there is no images leaked just yet, but I think it will doesn’t take long for the first image to appear on the net.

htc desire 450x386 HTC Announce Switching To SLDC Display In HTC Desire and Nexus One

While HTC smartphones sold in the US has been using SLCD display screen since last month, HTC smartphone sold in Malaysia still enjoying AMOLED display screen, but the joy appears to be short-lived.  Apparently  HTC smartphones model sold here including HTC Desire and Nexus One will start using Sony’s SLCD screen technology as well instead of AMOLED as announced today.

Samsung, the maker of AMOLED display screen reported has hard time fulfilling the demand for AMOLED and Super AMOLED that is now pretty much a standard feature on high end smartphone nowadays. The unexpected hit on it’s Samsung Galaxy S series further put a strain to it’s production line to meed the growing demand. In order to avoid shortage, HTC has opt to use Sony’s SLCD screen which is no less impressive but still second in term of popularity to AMOLED technology in my opinion. Further announcement from HTC can be found on below press release
