Well Apple, it looks like that we no longer need you to enable FaceTime to works with the 3G connection as someone has did it for you. I mean for the time being. You know why? We have something called My3G , an app which can be installed on jailbroken phone. Although it is no free, cost $2.99 on Cydia, but it works although the quality is not really good. Because wifi availability is limited we want this Facetime over 3G connection badly. Anyway, does anybody test it in Malaysia and works with local telco connection?
The hottest gadget on the planet finally unveiled last night, called iPhone 4, that’s it. Here is the summary courtesy of Engadget’s live blogging.
- Slimmest smartphone on the planet. 24 % slimmer than iPhone 3GS; the dimension 4.5 x 2.31 inches, and 0.37 inches thick. It weighs 4.8 ounces (137 grams).
- All new design, “Glass on the front and back, and steel around the sides. It’s like a beautiful old Leica camera” Job explained.

- New camera system : There are 2 camera now, front facing camera for video call and 5 megapixel at the back, with backside illuminated sensor, 5x digital zoom, tap to focus, and LED flash.
- HD video recording, 720p at 30fps
- Built in video editing via iMovie app, an optional app that can be purchased separately at $4.99
iPhone 4 doesn’t complete without decent OS, and here is the the brand new iPhone OS 4 or now simply called iOS 4
- You can create folders and move the app into that (no need jailbreaking anymore)
- BING added as one of the search engine option.
- iBook & iBookstore now integrated to iPhone 4 as well
- iAds : brand new ads system integrated in iPhone 4 – Focus on monetizing for developers (and of course Apple themself)
- FaceTime : Brand new video calls through WiFi only at the moment from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4.
- Pricing (in the US only) : 2 color White and black. Pricing — $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB. iPhone 3GS will only have 8GB capacity once iPhone 4 on sale
- Preoder start 15th June and shipped to 5 countries on 24th June (US, UK, Japan, France and Germany). By July , 18 more countries will be added and on September, 88 more countries. Not mention if this is lock on unlocked set
- Upgrade to iOS 4 begin 21st June, free of charge for iPod 2nd gen, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. Not all features supported in iPod and iPhone 3G. As expected, no more support for iPhone 2G
