We went to Mid Valley Megamall yesterday to see the Digital Week 09 that I blog a day before. Earlier on, we though the fair is held at Midvalley Exhibition Centre, but it is actually located on the shopping floor itself. Due to the space constraint, the booths are separated to different locations based on product, which something that I not prefer.
Digital photography and imaging booths located at North Point, while notebook and desktop booths located at Centre point together with the flat TV panel booths near to the stair at centre point.
The fair has quite number of visitors, but that might because it has been going on since March 11th. We don’t buy anything as PC fair is just around the corner and furthermore, the netbook that we’re looking at, is not there yet.
We decide to go to the 3rd floor that housed IT and gadget shops. The last time we were here is a year ago, during the opening of Dell Direct Store. The shops over there are much more organized now, all of them are visible to the crowd, contrary to our visit before.
We drop by at eMachine to view the new iMac and iPod shuffle. On display is the old version, so we asked about the 2009 model. The promoter told us the looks almost identical with the previous version, so it is the same thing.. well , I don’t want to argue further. I just feel the promoter at Lowyat plaza’s Apple store is much more helpful and knowledgeable.
There are more concept stores/showrooms from computer manufaturer now, with addition of Asus, Acer and HP store . We spent sometime on HP store looking for notebook and imaging device. The staff is friendly and helfull. If you want to test, feel any device from these brands before purchase it, I highly recommend you to take a look at these showroom.
We heading back home after almost 4 hours there. HP store photos taken from iPhone.
