Cuil has updated it search results page, which is now include related story in timelines.
For instance, you want to know how iPhone started and the related news and update. Just run query for iPhone, and it will shows the results as well as the timelines box at the top right of the search result screen.
Resize the windows to get the bigger views where you can see the stories are sorted by its date. You can specify for which period that you want to view as well.
However it seems like that, the timelines is available for US related keyphrase only.

Cuil, the search engine that attracting millions of users when it was launched last year, rolled out a new redesigned page for displaying the search results. Cuil is unique on how its presenting the search result, where each results are put on 3 same size columns, sporting the looks of magazine style website.
The new designed still maintain its identity thought, but with slight change. As you can see on the screen shot, or you can try it yourself, the first 3 main results has been allocated with larger column to emphasize its content, and the rest of the results will be placed on 2 columns right at the bottom of that 3 main results.
While the third column, to me it functioning like sidebar now. It will be filled up by categories related to the search’s key phrase, but will be left blank if it has no related category.
Promising start, but sad to stay it is almost forgotten by users including me.
