So here is another app store, called Chrome Web Store, by Google. Confuse web store VS app store? Read further. You can pretty much guess what’s in the store. It is an app that running on browser. So Web Store is basically just the name of the store, but the content is an app that run on browser, understood?
What kind of app that able to run on the web. Flash, HTML5, javascript, C++ among others. There will be free and paid app to choose from the store. Well, this is rather interesting news, if it is real. It’s tablet news guys! Chrome OS tablet will be launched in the US via Verizon according to Download Squad who got the tips from it’s source. HTC is again tasked to develop the tablet with input from Google. No surprise here. The exact release date is 26th November which is Black Friday. According to Download Squad again, the hardware will be based on Vidia’s Tegra 2 platform with 1280×720 multitouch screen, 2GB of RAM, 32GB SSD, WiFi/Bluetooth/3G connectivity, GPS, webcam, and multi-card reader.
Chrome OS tablet concept is nothing new, as the sketch of the device has appeared since early February, one week after iPad released. With the right strategy and price, Chrome OS tablet can be the first serious contender in tablet device which monopolized by Apple iPad. iPad Killer?? I don’t think so, well actually I prefer Android tablet rather than Chrome OS tablet.
We all know that Chromium OS will finally unveiled someday, but we just don’t know when that will happens. It might be soon, if what folks at DownloadSquad spotted on Chromium OS Git repository, is an indication that vendor are currently customizing the OS based on their own configuration. The 3 vendors are the leading computer manufacturer HP, Acer and Dell.
It is interesting to see if Chrome OS will making it’s debut on PC platform or tablet that we all know is the hottest gadget this year. But as Android is more dominant on the later, I foresee it will most likely make it debut on the PC, the platform where Google is still less recognized. Furthermore the earliest Chromium OS was released on desktop, but remember there is also Chromium OS concept previewed in tablet. Now things become interesting again..
p/s : Not to get confused, Chrome is browser, and Chromium OS is an OS

Now seems to be a tablet season where one tablet was announced after another.
After iPad launch last week, Chrome tablet concept is sensationally out from nowhere yesterday, trying to ‘steal’ the spotlight??. It sounds interesting, but one person that going to fume about this development must be Steve Job. Google is after his latest innovation, again after iPhone, although I don’t think iPad itself is revolution rather than one piece of beautifully crafted device.
As you know, Chrome which started as Web Browser has fast transformed to Chromium OS . It’s early version was tested and able to run on netbook as demonstrated couple of months back. And now, Chromium OS has moved a step further to tablet platform, but.. unfortunately it still just a concept. Timing is important. Sounds like the release of this concept is kinda rushing, am I right??
The concept which was posted on Chromium Project is mostly demonstrating the UI concept. Among in show are different style of keypad position, the main menu screen, tab style and how multi touch is handled in tablet as shown on the video below.
Yes, it’s just that. Images that could be rendered overnight by experienced graphic designer.
