Fancy of Blackberry smartphone with Blackberry 6 OS? Apart from Blackberry Torch 9800, Blackbery Bold 9780 which was released few weeks ago is another device shipped with Blackberry 6. As you wish, the smartphone is now available at Celcom’s Blackberry Event beginning yesterday. And by 17th November, it should available at Celcom Bluecube store nationwide.

Blackberry Bold 9780 is essentially the enhanced version of Blackberry Bold 9700,  with double amount of RAM to 512MB now, but retain all the looks and feel of the current Blackberry Bold. The additional RAM is allocated for to boast it’s performance when it run on newest Blackberry OS, Blackberry 6.

It’s RRP is RM1,888, but with 12 months contract, the smartphone is yours from as low as RM1188. Pricing with contract is available in my earlier post.

Celcom is really running in full force promoting Blackberry, which perhaps answer why they have not brought in any other premium devices to them lately. The latest is the Blackberry promotion at KLCC, which running from now until tomorrow (I know I late). You can see that even Blackberry Bold 9780 is already in promotion, while there still no news about it on another telco. Got the hint, who is RIM’s special partner??

Well, pricing wise do not expect steep discount, but each Blackberry purchased (with exception if Bold 9780) carry quite generous freebies especially Blackberry Torch 9800. Bear in mind the price illustrated above comes with contract.

Owning Blackberry without Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) is quite wasteful, you’ll miss the entire features in Blackberry and BIS. But if you don’t mind, here is your chance to get the Blackberry from Celcom with only voice and sms package. Blackberry Storm 2 and Bold 9700 is available at RM1488 with only RM50 commitment per-month. Blackberry Curve 8520 is even cheaper, priced at RM688 with the same amount of commitment.

I’m quite skeptical with the promo initially, so I tweet my question to MyXpax, one of Celcom’s Twitter account, and the answer is positive. May I remind you again that, you’ll miss all the fun without BIS in your Blackberry. But I do believe that anytime you want to add BIS to your package, Celcom will still allows you to do so.

Telco seems never fell short of ideas to promote their products and services, such as this one. From today until the end of March, Celcom is offering super deal packages which consist of Blackberry Bold 9700 and HP Mini 210 netbook from as low as RM1,888.

This comes with contract for 2 years period with monthly subscription fee from RM188. You can pay more for the devices if you prefer 12 months instead. Interestingly, there are 2 types of plan that you can choose from, depend on you preference. More voices plan and basic BIS or full unlimited BIS and less voice plan.

Oh, there is also free Red Cozip case for Blackberry Bold 9700 and RM88 Airtime rebate for 2 months. Isn’t that nice?
