I’m about to write about ‘Alexa is dead‘ post after seeing no Alexa ranking update almost a month, when all of sudden it looks like Alexa ranking update is back.

In the past, Alexa ranking used to be updated every week until last December. It was end of year, plus holiday & festive season which means peoples are busy enjoying that moment and spend lesser time in front of computer.

Usually this is the time where companies are doing housekeeping, deployment, upgrading, bug fix and etc. I guess same goes here, and that’s why no update deployed.

Good that Alexa is back now.  I’m personally happy with it, seeing blogjer’s ranking finally breaking 200k barrier. Alexa is still useful website ranking system, when no other ranking system has coverage as wide as Alexa, which covers globally, although the accuracy is being questioned and rarely favored by most webmasters.

Coincidentally also,  ‘When is the next Alexa update‘ post is currently topping the ‘Top Post‘ list, which can be interpreted as more peoples start looking at it as well i guess.

So keep the ball rolling!
