Celcom Raya Phone Sale Halves Some Smartphone Price

Celcom Raya promo Celcom Raya Phone Sale Halves Some Smartphone Price

Eid Mubaraq or Raya had just passed a week ago, though the Raya mood still going strong with lots of open house to attend. Anyhow, for those that cut their online activity off like me, I just figure out the Raya phone sale from Celcom. But do not expect huge cut although the ads claim the 1/2 price off.

The price advertised on their printed and website is the normal subsidized price (because of the the contract, usually 12 months) with additional price cut. For instance, originally Blackberry Cuve 9300 is priced at Rm688 with RM250 monthly commitment for 1 year, but with this promotion, there is additional RM100 off. Not bad, but somehow it is quite misleading for frequent visitor to their website like me. It’s true there is price cut but it is marketing tactic after all, right? Hit the source link for the deal.

Blackberry Paid App Now Opened In Malaysia

app world 2 paid Blackberry Paid App Now Opened In Malaysia

What I didn’t notice initially when I run the App World 2.0 is that the paid app is now visible to me, which mean RIM has finally opened the paid app for purchase in Malaysia. On the previous version of App World, paid app section is blank, with nothing on display. Although I didn’t proceed with the payment, at least I can reach the payment option stage which no offering payment from Paypal as well as credit card.

The move by RIM is a positive sign, seen as vote of confidence toward Blackberry user in this country. This can also be seen as an act of acceptance toward the growing needs of users in Malaysia who would love to have full access to the application in the Blackberry App World. Sometime, free is not good enough..
