Telco seems never fell short of ideas to promote their products and services, such as this one. From today until the end of March, Celcom is offering super deal packages which consist of Blackberry Bold 9700 and HP Mini 210 netbook from as low as RM1,888.
This comes with contract for 2 years period with monthly subscription fee from RM188. You can pay more for the devices if you prefer 12 months instead. Interestingly, there are 2 types of plan that you can choose from, depend on you preference. More voices plan and basic BIS or full unlimited BIS and less voice plan.
Oh, there is also free Red Cozip case for Blackberry Bold 9700 and RM88 Airtime rebate for 2 months. Isn’t that nice?

BBleaks did it again. After posting series of Blackberry Slider images couple of days ago, BBleaks has posted another series of Blackberry Slider images, which is much clearer now.
And now instead of Blackberry Storm that they thought this model going to be in future, another opinion suggest that, this might be the next Blackberry Bold model instead. Backing up that opinion is, the keyboard design that Blackberry Slider had, which is the ’signature’ of Blackberry Bold.
Well, but I’m still sticking to my belief that this is the next Blackberry Storm for the reason that I’m not too sure. Probably, my interest in touch screen had my belief little bit biased. Or because I think that Blackberry should have device with both touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard to better compete in smart phone market. But that’s just my one cent.
Leave that alone at the moment, whatever this model going to be, I wish to see Blackberry Slider to have AMOLED capacitive touch screen (asking too much isn’t it) and decent keyboard as Blackberry used to be. BBleaks, good job!

BBleaks has posted 2 images of Blackberry Slider which might be the next generation of Blackberry Storm 3. If this is real, the addition of keyboard to the next gen of storm series is going to be a huge attraction to users who want to have QWERTY keyboard and touch screen on the same time

This image show how the keyboard sliding out from the device, just like Palm Pre.

And this is Touch Screen Blackberry Slider that RIM has applied for patents earlier. As opposed to the images, the keyboard is flip sideway. Of the 2 keyboard sliding type, I prefer the second image most, as it is easy to hold it using 1 hand if I want to use the keyboard.
Hopes to see this device hits the street soon!

Digi become the latest telco/carrier to offer the new Blackberry Bold 9700. Compared to Celcom & Maxis, Digi is relatively new player in Blackberry market for consumer, having just launched their DG Smart Plan for Blackberry on November last year with only 1 device, Blackberry Curve 8520.
Digi’s entrance to Blackberry has sparked the price war with it’s bigger rivals. Celcom through it’s ‘Mega Sale’ offers free Blackberry access service during the weekend for 3 months for it’s Xpax customers, while Maxis has slashed the device price if customer paying 1 year Blackberry subscription fee upfront.
Being the last telco to offer Blackberry Bold 9700 doesn’t means that they’re preparing to lose. Expecting to see Digi to follows Celcom’s brilliant marketing technique, by selling the device at the ‘insanely’ discounted price to generate the buzz, just like what they did before.
