Flash or Frash In iPhone 4, Believe It

Flash for iPhone 4 sounds ridiculous if you follow the public heated debate between Adobe and Apple in the last couple of months. “Where there’s a will there’s a way”, sounds so true in this  case, and if you love it, say a big thank to Comex – the Jailbreakme folks, who works to release Flash to iPhone 4.

Flash or ‘Frash’ for iPhone 4 (also working on iPhone 3GS) is now available only via Cydia, which means you have to jailbreak your iPhone in order to get it work (how in the world could Flash work on ‘virgin’ iPhone, right??).  Video below will demo how to install Flash(frash) into your iPhone 4, but if you keen on written step by steps procedure, click on the source link at the end of this post. As this is still on alpha release, only lite Flash is playable in iPhone 4, don’t expect Youtube will works though.

It looks like the  developer of jailbreak tool for iOS 4, Jailbreakme has some more works to do now. That’s because Apple has just released iOS 4.0.2 for iPhones and iPod to patch the pdf exploit used by the tool to jailbreak iOS 4 easily through Safari.

The choice is update is yours. If you’re comfortable without jailbreaking your iPhone, or your phone is unlocked set, go ahead and update it. But if you’re running on locked set, or you prefer to live free in jailbreaking world, just ignore the update for the time being, until something being work out by the team.

To update your iOS, hooked you your iPhone/iPod to iTunes which should automatically detect newer software update available for your device, or download manually from the source link.

There are a lot of rumors about the next gen of iPod Touch beginning last week. This rumors are supported by the leaked images which among other are the iPod Touch case which has back-sided hole to accommodate back-facing camera and the iPod Touch LCD with front-sided hole for front-facing camera; all leave us to guess that this is for the FaceTime feature that currently only available in iPhone 4. If that is not enough, Daring Fireball is giving more hints about the availability of the new iPod Touch with FaceTime in the next couple of weeks in his recent blog post. While it still not certain that all these signs is confirmed indication that iPod Touch going to have FaceTime, many will hope so. Unless someone left the prototype of next gen iPod Touch in the bar once again, the only thing we can do now is… waiting.

Apple Peel 520 – Case that turn iPod Touch to iPhone

No, the case won’t magically turn iPod Touch to iPhone, but it gives the single greatest function that iPod is missing compared to iPhone; the ability to make/receive a phone call and texting/SMS messages.  Apple Peel 520, a product of one Chinese company is the casing that do all this ‘magic’, try filling the gap that iPod owners would love to have.

As extraordinary casing tasked to turn iPod Touch to iPhone, surely it does everything that have other case doesn’t have. So it has simcard slot with Infineon baseband processor-powered cell phone printed circuit board, additional 800mAh battery, vibration motor and speaker among others.

That’s the hardware part. For software part, it need jailbroken iPod Touch to get working as it require 2 application called Yosion and YsSMS to be installed that will taking care of make/receive phone call and texting/sms. As this casing is still in prototype stage all menus are in Chinese but the English version should available as well later I believe.

The prototype is not without problem though, but it should get fixed sooner or later. The price is USD59; not that cheap, but comparing the cost of getting iPhone (contract or without contract), it still way cheaper to get iPod plus Apple Peel 520.

Maxis : iPhone 4 Arriving in Maxis Stores Very Soon

Not my word, but this is what Maxis emailing everyone who has registered for iPhone 4 update. The terms used ‘very soon’ , is very tempting and signaling that iPhone 4 is very close to hit our shores.. , just a matter of time.. Is this for real?? I’ve no idea.  On the iPhone 4 roadmap release, there is 1 batch of countries to receive iPhone 4 by end of August, well, probably Malaysia is one of them. Here is the email.
