Just like ads-blocker plugin or extension in Firefox or Chrome, there is something you can rely to block ads in your smartphone as well. Adfree, an application that available in Android Market since early last week capable of blocking ads from browser as well as application. Before proceed, this is only working on rooted phone only. Getting it works is pretty simple, just download and install the app, and the default setting is sufficient to block ads. There is no option to block either ads in browser or application only, and I could sense that app developer who rely on ads for their free apps will not happy with Addfree.

Droid 2 will be shipped with Android 2.2, and Flash Player 10.1 , 2 great features that average users will appreciate to avoid the hassle of upgrading. Sony Ericsson Android Smartphone with PSP Go Is Brilliant Idea

psp mockupengadget Sony Ericsson Android Smartphone with PSP Go Is Brilliant Idea

The story about Sony developing Android smartphone with PSP Go functionality, which appear on Engadget is indeed very exciting. After Microsoft unveil it’s incoming Windows Phone 7 going to have Xbox games, it is just a matter of time other console player will follow the suit. Why? The reason is simple, smartphone is going to be dominant device in future, everything will be ported to smartphone, making it appeal to the mass.

Sony’s Android with PSP Go smartphone, if it is real is going to be the phone loved by many. Android fan combine with Sony fan, how about that? And well, don’t get confused, the above pictures is the mock up device from Engadget, but the real smartphone is said to be cross between Samsung Captivate (one flavor of Samsung Galaxy S available in the US) and PSP G0. Well, we’re talking about 4+- inch device.

Going further inside, 1Ghz snapdragon processor is the ideal candidate to power it up. Android 3.0 is possibly the OS it is going to run. What make it cool, on top of Android games, other popular PSP Go games will be available as well; I think this is a must have ingredient if this project to be succeed. The Android Market might have additional space for these games, and you know what, other smartphone which met the requirement might as well accessing this games!  Ops, don’t overjoy, this is still in early stage and there might change plan as well, but with Engadget credibility, this story looks very very promising.

Maxis Add HTC Wildwire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini To It’s Android Lineup

HTC wildfire SE Xperia mini Maxis Add HTC Wildwire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini To Its Android Lineup

Apparently, Maxis is not releasing only 1 new Android smartphone, but 2 model actually. As yesterday post is sourcing the info from HTC Malaysia, so its focus is on their Android smartphone only. So HTC Wildwire as most already know together with Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini are 2 new Android smartphone introduced by Maxis yesterday. The phone price can be viewed above, which comes with data and voice package with contract. If you notice, Motorola Milestone, Samsung Galaxy (not Galaxy S), HTC Legend no longer available. It is either the smartphone is out of stock or having weak demand from users.

Flash 10.1 Rolled Out to More Android Smartphones Soon

It is fact that iPhone won’t support Flash through official line (with exception of using Frash, through jailbreak),  but Android smartphones are literally on the same boat as well, initially. While Android smartphones is obviously siding Flash, but with many Android smartphone available right now, how many of them capable of playing Flash out of the box? Except Nexus One perhaps, none is having that luxury.

Android smartphone at least has been promised to get the Flash player they’re promised before. Better late than never, right? Beginning last week Droid 2, HTC Evo, HTC Desire has started to get Flash Player 10.1 and other smartphone like HTC Incredible, the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Milestone, Droid X and others will support Flash Player 10.1 in the “following weeks” as well. It’s good to hear that, but the rolled out seem only targeting high profile Android smartphone, leaving the entry level Android phone in the dark. And the early version of Android smartphone like HTC Magic which will never sever see Froyo officially, will rely on cooked ROM to have Flash support? Oh, it’s bad being early adopter and entry level buyer.
