10-inch Acer Aspire One

8.9 inch Acer Aspire One  is a huge success for Acer. With only 1 model, it manage to top the list of most netbook sold last year. When the news broke about 10-inch Acer Aspire One  last year, it bring joy to users who want netbook with bigger screen with competitive priced, as what Acer did with the first version of Acer Aspire One. The rest of netbook manufacturers has come out with their own 10 inch model earlier than that.

The 10-inch Acer Aspire One netbook is predicted to be shipped on the Q1 2009 although it is no where to be seen on local marketplace such as Lowyat.net forum as well as Lelong when I do quick check today.

As KL PC Fair nearing its day,  I believe more users is anticipating this netbook to be there as well. The 8.9 inch model priced between RM1.1 – 1.3K, expect this model to be priced slightly higher, but lesser than Dell Mini Inspiron 10.

Here is the basic spec. Read more at the Acer Aspire mini page.

1 week post

1218283771 b2d99ac548 1 week post

It’s been a week since my last post. I know I shouldn’t leave my blog unattended since search engines bot is occasionally coming to look for fresh contents, but unfortunately it’s not there. I’m sorry bot, you won’t be disappointed today.
There is a few interesting events that had happened last week. Last week and early week, I spent most of the time building few websites using the new domain that I bought previously, link them together with free blogs that I have before to create new mini network interconnected between them. I was inspired to get it done after reading this video . It is 42 minute video that is worth your attention.

Then, there is Dell 24” Wide Screen LCD that I mentioned before. I have tested (with some movie and video only) it, I’m very much satisfied with the performance, the display is good as well as other additional ports that it has, such as S-Video, card reader and others. I tried to snap better pictures, but unfortunately the quality is not that good, maybe due to my 0 photography skills.

My wife has resigned from her 8.30 – 5.30 job and joins me managing my websites and blog networks. Welcome my dear. Part of my time also spent teaching her some basic web terminology, techniques, and tools as well as introduce her with my blogs and websites that she has not really taken care before. It’s good to work on this together with my wife. She’ll do some postings soon after she had managed to catch up on higher priority tasks that I am assigning to her (Do I look bossy here, hehe)

We also grab Acer Aspire 4520 last week, it is entry level notebook powered by AMD Turion X2. Not a high end notebook, but I never have tasted the power of AMD processor chip so far. It’s quite good, in terms of performance; it’s almost the same level with Centrino Duo. With 1.5 GB memory, it is able to run Vista Premium well. First experience with Vista as well, nice graphics and more functions available, but I’m still not yet an expert on it.

Well, that’s all for now. Hopefully, you’ll never see this blog in ‘hibernate’ mode again in future. Cheers!!
