One app that I’m sure many Android users would love to have, Google Reader is finally released by Google last week. It is available in the App Market, but for some unknown reason, it is not available from My HTC Magic which run on Android 2.1. Nevertheless it is a must have app for those that rely on Google Reader as source of information. Some of the feature offered in the app is multiple accounts, sync preference, full subscription features and etc. Scan QR code below to install the app, which works on Donut (Android 1.6) and above.

One of the most sought after games in iOS which ported to Android couple of months ago, Angry Bird is out of beta version and now available for download. What’s better is, the full version is free of charge though it is ads supported apps. For the time being, you can download the application from m.getjar.com but it will soon be available via Android Market as well. Regardless of what the platform is, Angry Bird still retain the level of excitement it has, and surely gain strong followers in Android. Here are some of Angry Bird in my HTC Magic, notice the ads location at the last screen shot.

Two reports from 2 different sources confirmed that Apple’s App Store now has whopping 250,000 plus applications as of today. This is obviously another major milestone for App Store, since it’s inception about 2 years ago, a number that undoubtedly will keep increasing in near future.
The first report is coming from 148Apps.biz which track that App Store now has 251,007 applications from 50,304 publisher. Another report from AppShopper.com, report the total apps now stood at 253,777 apps, including 24,334 for the iPad, not far from the figure reported by 148apps.biz.
Though this figure is unofficial, the number should pretty close with the actual figure in App store. Steve Jobs may have that answer on 1st September, when Apple is going to held special event to launch what could be the next gen of iPod and Apple TV.
