This is not going to be an easy journey, Erik. That would be the first advice to Erik Karey which I will review his blog today. Erik Karey is 22 years old internet entrepreneur who has vision to be successful young entrepreneur. I should say that he is indeed very lucky as he has exposed to the internet which offer borderless opportunity at a young stage

The blog covering topics such as entrepreneurship, blogging, some coding tips (he is Rent-A-Coder program coder), ways to make money online and some personal topics such as his birthday on last June 25th (happy birthday) Most importantly, he is offering Palm Pilot if you review his blog. Hooray!!

In terms of GUI, this blog has simplistic design but easy navigation menu with big RSS button on the right top corner. He is offering full RSS which made me subscribe to his RSS feed

There is 1 thing that I won’t recommend here, which is posting your earning every week. For me, that seems too often and it will left negative impact to your blog, especially if you’re not showing any improvement on your earning. Go by monthly, if you still prefer posting your income, which I think shouldn’t be made public until you earn decent income from there.

I have been doing few reviews for few blogs and contests for the last 1 month, and from there, I get few ideas which I can use as a guideline when giving a review. Plus, doing some researches on internet has giving me clearer idea about it

Follow the rules
When you’re reviewing blog, you will need to follow the reviewed blog rules. Normally, the most common rules are anchor text, link back to the blog or post, minimum word and etc. In order to follow this, please plan your review before start writing to match their anchor text and the link URL

Content
The first place that I will look at is their RSS reader. I’ll subscribe to RSS feed and from there I’ll go through from 1 articles to another. I feel more comfortable reading from RSS reader since it will pull all articles into 1 page (your reader). But, not all blogger provide full feed. The problem with partial feed is, you have to go to their blog reading the full story before come back to RSS reader looking for another articles.

Few area that you can look at.

• Best content – highlight few best contents and recommend it to your readers
• Topic covered – 1 or multi topic
• Why you should or shouldn’t read this blog

Blog’s physical looks
This would be the second part that I will look at. Although is not as important as content, but it does play it own roles in attracting visitors especially new one.

There are few parts that you can review

• page loading time – How fast web page loaded
• Graphical user interface (blog’s template)
• plugin – eg: too many unnecessary plug-in, or missing crucial plug-in
• advertisement – eg: too many ads or too early the blog
• RSS – eg: Location, full or partial feed

Suggestion
If you’re think that there are few areas that might need some improvement, suggest it to them

Honest
Whenever you follow the above guides, do it honestly but does not means we critics the author personally. Being honest will credit you back later on.

Another blog with red hot ferrari as it’s header representing Jason’ blog. When i first read this blog, I tought he is really making money from this blog and driving ferrari (wow), but this is actually rented car which Jason drive on his way to Las Vegas for holiday. Not bad anyway, at least you can afford to rent Ferrari

As what I did on my first review on certain blog, I will subscribe to the RSS feed because of it easiness for me to browse from one article to another looking for the best content, provided that they opt for full feed. I always believe in content will determine how good is your blog in future. Going through it, it does have few articles that catch my eye. The topic is vary from blogging, automobile, his personal life, make money online, wordpress plugin and etc. I list down few articles that catch up my eyes and worth my reading

In terms of graphical user interface (GUI), it is using 2 column with neatly arranged menu and plugin. Though it looks simple, but I do like blog with white or lite color on the background. It also has menu on top of it header to ease the movement from one menu to another which I feel is a must for blog in order to maximize page views per visitors rate.

What make feel amazed with this blog is how he achieve PR5 in roughly 5 months, which means 1 PR per month. From the RSS feed, the earliest article posted on Feb 10th 2007. Congrats dude, it’s awesome. By the way don’t forget to review this blog, it has PR5..
