Google adsense sticker, what for??

I think I’m late. But I hope to get 1 or 2 too. It reminds me the times when I was teenager, I used to change my Honda EX5 sticker with custom made sticker designed by sticker shop at my hometown. But EX5 doesn’t have nice looking sticker compared to what scooter has. I put a lot of stickers on the front mudguard (Is this the correct phrase, white color one, err I forgot the name), from sports apparel brand, motoring spare part brand, and the most recognized sticker at that time for EX5, of course the big ‘Honda’ sticker.

Before I deviate too far, how to get this sticker?

So how do you get one of these glue-backed masterpieces? Easy: send us a self-addressed, stamped envelope with enough postage to return 1 oz of sticker goodness to you from our office in California via standard U.S. mail. (Sorry, we can’t help you calculate the postage to your location). Send your envelope, along with a note if you’d like, to:

Where do I want to stick it? At the rear of my car??? Erm, not good, looks funny though. My company notebook maybe the best place. At least I can show it off to my manager and peers that I’m a proud Adsense publisher and I earn income from them (sounds so arrogant, hope they know what is Adsense).

But I have no idea how much is the postal fee to US. Hope it’s not expensive!! Have you got one?

Google Adsense credential update

Google is currently requesting their Adsense publishers to update their account. What I can see is that they’re asking you to merge your Adsense account with your Google account. My Adsense account login ID is my Google account, so the process is done pretty quickly, where I only need to supply my Google login ID and its password.

I’m not sure if this has been rolled out to all publishers, or some publishers have their Adsense account already merged with Google account, but one of my friend who registered later than me didn’t get the same screen when he attempted to login into his account.

The good thing is, now I can sign in into my Adsense account with Google account credential. So no more invalid adsense login error message.

Kontera publisher centre has a new look and analytic tools

Finally, Kontera has a new look and more importantly, it has more statistic and analysis tools. I love Kontera. It is the second most income contributor to me and also due to its ease of implementation, even though the income provided is only 1/12 of my Adsense. I had blogged about Kontera’s optimization tips, top kontera earner, my first kontera earning and a few other posts about Kontera before. At least I can provide something back to Kontera for some of the $$ that I earn from them. Oh, it reminds me back to make a new list of Kontera’s top earner. Stay tune..

Ok, what’s new with Kontera?

Summary
The summary page has a graph to show what is your earning trend for your whole websites. You can modify the date period, but there is no option to choose to change for only certain websites.

Detailed Reports
On this screen, contra with the summary page, you can choose which website and on what time frame to display the report. However, no graph is available.

Keyword Report
This is among the features that I’m interested the most. The downside is, you’re unable to view all the keywords and choose the time frame. The only time frame available is from last week’s data.

URL Report
Another great feature, but it is only able to display last week’s 20 pages with the highest traffic.

Create tag
This is where you can get the script for your website. The only additional feature is you can choose which color you want for the display of the ads.

Btw, not everything can be done from the publisher center. For requests such as adding new website to your network, blocking keywords, you still need to contact their support for assistance.

1 downside that I notice is, Kontera’s page was unable to be displayed correctly in Firefox. It seems like it is missing the CSS file. I’m not sure if it happens only on my system.

Btw, if Kontera can come up with tools as comprehensive as Google Adsense, that would be better, what do you think?

Don’t forget to remove your Adsense referral unit ads

If you haven’t removed your Adsense referral unit ads on your website, please do so immediately. Google will end this program for publishers outside North America (US and Canada), Latin America and Japan by end of the last week of January due to low performance of the program on this region.
 
If you do check your earning frequently like I do, you might stumble upon this message above, a reminder from Mr G.

It is imperative for each Adsense publishers to subscribe to official Google Adsense blog to stay updated with the latest news and development about the program.

No worries, it’s still not too late. Sign up (no affiliate link) now to taste the feelings of earning income online (or frustrated feelings).
 
Banned from Adsense?
 
It’s not the end of the world. There are bunches of advertising mediums available such as Kontera, Widget Bucks, Shopping Ads, AdBrite. Not forgetting the local ads such as Nuffnang, Advertlets and Nufflets. The choice is yours!!
