This plugin comes in very handy if you’re moderating first time commentators plus Akismet’s flagged comments that need approval.

After gotten inquired couple of times about why comments do not show up immediately on blogjer, this plugin is my answer to this. Starting today, you’ll receive an email if your comment has been approved. Hope you don’t ‘mind’ icon smile Wordpress Plugin Comments Approval Notifier

As long as correct email addresses are supplied, you’ll know when your comment is approved. I occasionally compare your profile with ‘spam database‘ if you’re reported as spammers before.

critics for traffics

After reading this post, I chuckled, and thought about how ‘genius’ this guy is. Sean of GetClicky is using a different way to gain attention from somebody. Instead of ‘bodek‘@praise@compliment him, he  is criticizing Michael Arrington, accusing him of favoritism, so that in order to ‘defend’ himself of not being in favor, he’ll write about a new services offered by his company. Sean’s intention is ‘quite’ clear and yet he is successful. And he must be delighted now, hehe

Ooh Techcrunch…, what is the meaning of appearing there? It got hundreds of thousands of RSS subscribers, plus millions of visitors.. indirectly he simply got a free advertising, which if it is in a form of text link ad or banner ad, will probably cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars. And it sticks there permanently even though not a single  link to GetClicky appears there (curios person like me will google it of course). Not sure if techcruch has impact like Digg effect though.

On the bottom of the post, the commentators were not too ‘generous’ in leaving their opinions know. I don’t read all the comments, but you can smell jealousy over there, right? Who wouldn’t want to appear on Techcrunch??

Personally I love the idea as well. But apart from the idea solely, Sean has a good product/service to show off too. And he does not unaffectedly criticizes Arrington, if you read the post carefully, he knows what he is doing (he put links to support his thought, and it seems like that he is indirectly challenging Arrington to be opposite from what he stands (i hope I got it right here)

So next time when you have a great product/service to offer, why not try this out, and wish your email would not be flagged as spams by the blog owner, or threw to the ‘trash’ right away.

Use CrunchBase widget to better refer the companies

If you’re frequent Techcrunch reader, you must be very familiar with this widget. The CrunchBase widget works to provide a detail of any product, company or even person that you mention on the post. The widget can be embedded on any post.

CrunchBase itself is a ‘free directory of technology companies, people, and investors’ on the net as it claim on about page , so in case you wanna know about tech related companies or person, this is the right place for you.

Apart from just using the widget, you can become a contributor to CrunchBase itself too.

I think I’m gonna started using this widget soon, it it does not effecting the loading time significantly

How to fix wordpress page problem after 2.5.1 upgrade

This is pretty simple. Upgrade your version to wordpress 2.6, and that’s fix your problem. I wrote about this issue before and apparently it was fixed once it upgraded without I noticing that it has been fixed. I must say that this is rare problem, since only small number of blogs having this problem once the upgrade, and blogjer is one of them.

I notice few blogs still having index.php on its URL, where some of them I have personally mail them to remove it since you no longer need index.php to make your wordpress page works. It looks ugly though.

In case you never experienced this before, this is what I mention above
