iPhone dev team finally released the latest Ultrasnow 0.93 that able to unlock IOS 4.0′s basebands  04.26.08 through 05.13.04. The basebands included what is available in iPhone 3GS OS 3.13 to OS 3.0.

The release is a great relief to users (including me) who bought locked iPhone with hope that it will be unlocked sometime in future, well the wait is over now. Enjoy!

Here is how you can do it:

1.Launch Cydia

2. Add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia. That last “o” is actually the number zero “0”. If you use the letter “o” you’ll get an error.

3. Search ‘ultrasn0w’ in Cydia and install ultrasn0w.

Kuala Lumpur, June 22, 2010FalconStor Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: FALC), the provider of TOTALLY Open™ data protection solutions, today announced that FalconStor has entered into a limited procurement agreement with Hitachi Data Systems. Under the terms of the agreement, Hitachi Data Systems will resell FalconStor® Virtual Tape Library (VTL) with deduplication and FalconStor® File-interface Deduplication System (FDS) integrated with the Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family on a limited basis.

This arrangement between Hitachi Data Systems and FalconStor Software enables the combination of industry-leading high-performance storage arrays with the world’s number one VTL/deduplication system and the industry’s first LAN-based deduplication system with high availability.

“This new reseller agreement with Hitachi Data Systems brings to market powerful integrated solutions that combine best-of-breed storage and data management software,” said Simon Ng, South Asia regional director of FalconStor. “The Hitachi AMS 2000 family from HDS is ideal for FalconStor’s VTL and deduplication applications designed to bring greater efficiency to today’s data center.”

About the Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family

The Adaptable Modular Storage 2000 family is a flexible storage platform designed to help organizations achieve key business benefits, such as meeting service level agreements (SLAs), attaining cost-effective performance and ensuring nondisruptive operations while realizing better administrative efficiencies and investment protection. There are three models in the family – the AMS 2100, AMS 2300 and AMS 2500. While these models differ in capacity, connectivity, performance and price points, each of these models has the same reliability and enterprise-level features.

About FalconStor VTL

FalconStor VTL is the industry’s market-leading virtual tape solution, offering high performance and scalability. With virtual tape, backups complete faster and more reliably with little or no change needed to the backup environment.  Designed for the enterprise, FalconStor VTL technology can achieve single-node backup speeds of 1.5 gigabytes per second, allowing IT managers to solve the single biggest issue in backup: meeting the backup window. Up to eight nodes can combine into a single logical unit, scaling performance to 12 gigabytes per second, or 43 terabytes per hour.  Deduplication can be performed concurrently with the backup or after the backup completes, optimizing storage efficiency without affecting the backup window.

About FalconStor FDS

FalconStor FDS offers block-level deduplication of backup data via a simple file interface.  FalconStor FDS extends FalconStor’s highly scalable data deduplication technology – already widespread as part of the FalconStor VTL solution – to LAN-based, disk-to-disk backup environments.  With high availability and many-to-one replication capability, FalconStor FDS provides global deduplication by replicating from remote sites to a central data repository while ensuring that the data always will be available.

iOS 4.0 Update Available Now!

iphoneos41 iOS 4.0 Update Available Now!

iPhone OS or iOS 4.0 which Apple promised to be released on 21-June is now available for download. If you live outside of the US, it may take sometime for update to appears on your iTunes as what I have experienced late last night when iTunes still detect that  iPhone OS 3.1.3 in my iPod Touch is still the most updated OS.  It appears only this morning the the OS4 is available and ready to be download.

If even until this moment you still don’t see iOS 4 update in iTunes, please verify that you’re running iTunes version 9.2 as only this version support iOS4.

For iPhone users that use unlocked or jailbreaked iPhone, always bear in mind it will wipe unlock and jailbreak software in iPhone, so be prepared with all necessary software.

As what have been mention on previous post as well as other tech blog, only iPod Touch 3rd and 2nd generation, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3Gs will receive an update to iOS 4.0,  but not every iOS 4.0 features will available in that devices. Except iPhone 3GS, couple  of killer features that confirmed are missing from the rest of devices are multitasking, home screen wallpaper, bluetooth keyboard support and screen lock.

With over 100 feature introduced in iOS 4.0, this numbers will grows as more older devices getting update and began using it.

Maxis To Sell Samsung Galaxy S!

maxis samsung galaxy Maxis To Sell Samsung Galaxy S!

HotlinkYC, one of Maxis’s official twitter accout tweeted that they’re again looking for 10 reviewers to review Samsung Galaxy as part of the promotion. They did the same before for HTC Desire where all 10 lucky reviewers keep the HTC Desire after review (isn’t that nice?). This is the clearest sign that Samsung Galaxy S is destined to be available via Maxis, and it’s just a matter of time.

You gotta agree with me that Maxis looks pretty aggressive lately. Perhaps Maxis try to filling up the gap it has lost to Celcom and Digi on the last couple years ? Right after HTC Desire, Maxis waste no chance to grab the next best available Android phone from korean, Samsung Galaxy S, highly regarded Android smartphone by some tech blogs.  Why not, with 4.3″ Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor, it is easily becoming one of the gorgeous smartphone in the market.

Now I’m start wondering what Celcom and Digi are doing now.
