P1 Wimax has released it’s latest product 2 days ago, Wimax-Inside notebooks, a notebook with Wimax chip readily available inside of the notebook. Straight to the point, the chip eliminate the need of external device such as modem in order to connect to P1 Wimax network. The Wimax-inside notebook is co-developed between P1 Wimax themselves with Intel as the Wimax chip maker as well as notebook vendor such as Acer, Lenovo and MSI.
Notebook/Netbook
During the launch day, there are only 3 notebook/netbook available to choose from, but P1 promised a lot more to come. The only thing differentiate this notebook from what is available on the market is the Intel Centrino Advanve-N + WiMAX 6250, the built-in Wimax chip that available inside. The price of the notebook/netbook is slightly higher, but that’s expected with the additional chip inside although it’s best to keep the price on par with the market price.

- Acer Aspire One 533 Netbook – 1499

There has been a lot of speculation when iPhone 4 will available in Malaysia, but none as clear as this one. This, comes directly from Maxis’s COO, Van Overbeke, who provide hints that Maxis might eventually bring iPhone 4 to Malaysia market this coming August, and that’s all, no further details has been shared.
When it comes to Apple product related things, it common to see even the highly rank exec to stay tight-lipped, right until the deal is being finalized. But if this is indeed true, we have 2 more months to go before you can enjoy iPhone 4.
When it comes to estimate the cost of any device, none is better and faster than iSuppli. No hard guess what they are up right now, obviously it is iPhone 4, the phone that sold 1.7 millions unit in 3 days.
According to iSuppli, the total coat of bill of materials (BOM) or parts in layman language is USD187.51 for iPhone 4 16GB. That’s excluded the manufacturing cost though. For comparison, iPhone 4 16GB is sold at USD199 with 2 years contract, but Apple does have a cut from the data and voice revenue from the telco.

Google has announced that Android 2.2 or Froyo will be officially available for all Nexus One smart phone beginning yesterday. The update notification will be sent to all Nexus One phone over-the-air (OTA) from which the update can be downloaded and installed. You also can try check the update from the smartphone manually, via WiFi connection if you don’t have data plan.
We have seen how certain bloggers and media has received an update to Android 2.2 as early as last month, fueling speculation that Google is prioritizing power user to be the first to have the update. But this news should end whatever speculation out there. Google Nexus one users is definitely cheering this update, but for the rest of Android users, you gotta wait the news from the phone provider.
