Oh well, finally Jen-ii, formerly known as Makcik PC has been destined to meet the world. You gotta believe it!

It is reported that Jen-ii is ready to be marketed very soon, re-branded for the second time as Idola 1Malaysia. Mimos, who develop this tablet has struct a deal with TM, to market as well as developing content for Jen-II.

I’m not sure what kind of deal is that, but it is most likely that TM will come out with special package consisting of Jen-II and Streamyx broadband. User will pay certain amount of fee for this tablet and tied to the contract for certain period. Well, that’s just my wild guess.

Anyway, I can’t find the detail of Jen-II from Mimos website, so here is some excerpt from the press. Wait, where is original iDola??

  • Comes with 8 buttons — 4 button for community websites and the other 4 reserved for business websites — to execute certain transactions.
  • SDK will be released for developers to develop application for Jen-II

Google Chrome Extention for Google Buzz

buzz chrome Google Chrome Extention for Google BuzzIf Firefox ‘pleased’ to have Buzz It, Chrome browser have it too, with no less than 3 extensions available right now.

The first extension that I tried is Chrome Buzz. It’s the most popular right now, but apparently only allows you to view the notification or buzz or update (whichever you think accurate). Quite disappointing.

The developer is working on enhancement such as updating your Buzz and comments function which is essential for Chrome Buzz to grows. One thing great about this extension is, it opens at lightning speed!

Buzz Mobilizer Extension is more advance in the sense that you can post new update to your Google Buzz, but the performance is sluggish. To post update, it will search your location first which is very slow, before enable the text box so you can writing and post the update.

Other than that, it has search function (appears not yet working), nearby buzz and search people (not working as well).

I have to say that this is half finished extension; not yet ready for prime time. It still has potential to be  popular if all functions works nicely with improved performance.

Google Buzz Add-ons for Firefox

Google Buzz is just few days short for it’s first week old on internet, but the first Google Buzz add-on for Firefox has already coming out.

Check out Buzz It , which allow you to submit status update to Google Buzz using the link and title of the webpage you are viewing. What’s more, it will also shorten URLs with Bit.ly.

As Google Buzz continue it’s momentum, expecting more such add-ons will flooding Mozilla Add-on real soon..
