At first I thought Acer was just being a bit coy by calling it a “TFT” screen. I saw it advertised a lot in Hong Kong just before it was released and the screen was always one of its selling points. As it happens it’s just a standard LCD TFT, not an AMOLED TFT. Would have made it a better phone and more worthy competitor to the likes of Google’s Nexus One.
