Of what I thought to be just an issue with my notebook inability to detect HTC Magic (to be use with HTC Sync) appears to be an issue between HTC Sync and Windows 7 .

HTC had just released an updated version of HTC Sync, and bang, it works!

In my case, although HTC Sync was successfully installed in my Windows 7 notebook, it was unable to detect my HTC Magic for syncing purpose, although the mass storage device is detectable from Windows Explorer.

So in case you’re facing the same issue, head to this page to download HTC Sync’s latest release.

Here is what the update all about.

1.  This release of HTC Sync now allows Windows 7 users to sync their Android phones.

2.  HTC Sync will now be installed correctly in Non-English versions of Windows XP.
