Celcom.com.my Receives Makeover, Looks Freshier

Gone are the days where bling bling, flashy and unfriendly user interface dominating Celcom website. Although it took a little while for them to realize how annoying browsing the old flash-based website, but the newly released design has buried the old memory forever. It’s definitely better in many aspect overall and promise greater browsing experience to the users.

What you’re looking for can be seen just by looking at Celcom homepage. Services, promotions, tools are neatly arranged at the right and bottom of the screen. Clicking on almost each menus will open up new windows that display the mini-site or content detail. I not a fan of this technique, because if you browse it through the mobile phone, it just add unnecessary time to load the page on already slow internet connection.

The page load faster than before as well (I think) if opened from computer, thanks to lesser graphics and other media type. Full flash website is thing of the past, agree?

I do feel the main banner at the center of the homepage is slightly bigger which kinda waste. It should be used to promote the latest product or services instead of the static images showing ‘minah saleh‘ sitting at the fancy chair. Err, why not Malaysian face?

That’s one short review or rant from the long time Celcom customer. Now that’s what I called website.
