Create Recovery Disks For HP Notebook
HP Notebook doesn’t come with any driver CD and a copy of operating system. This could well become a headache in case if there is system crash or hardware faulty. Although every HP notebook has Recovery Manager installed on separate hard drive partition, but that is not going to help if the hard drive becomes corrupted.
The only solution is to have Recovery Disk created from Recovery Manager. But not everyone is aware of this, in case when the salesperson didn’t notify about it, or the owner does not diligently going through his notebook.
To access Recovery Disk Creation menu, from Start Menu >> Recovery Manager >> Recovery Disk Creation. From here, recovery files that are going to be copied into the disk will be created, which took a couple of hours.
After the recovery file creation is completed, the process are now ready to burn it into CD or DVD. Please note that you need 18 copies of CDs or 3 copies of DVD.
Again, it will take a few hours for the recovery files to be copied onto disks. It took me 6 hours for the whole process to complete. Please also be aware that you can only create a recovery CD once. Any attempt after that will be greeted with this error message. Now you have recovery disks created, do make sure you keep it safe.
