Unboxing HP Pavilion DV2-1122AX

Some says this is netbook, and some other says this is notebook due to it’s size and what power it from Inside. I would rather call it notebook though because of it’s 12 inch display. Anything larger than 12 inch is notebook I reckon.
Pavilion DV2 is powered by Athlon X2 Neo, equivalent to Intel Core 2 Sole if I’m not mistaken. The power might be slightly more, but weak on multitasking. It is slightly warmer too when it run continuously for a long time. I still wonder why AMD still not overcome this issue though.
But I admire it not because of it’s powers nor the fact that it is the best laptop on CES 2009. But the design, glossy covers, thin factor and weight that really please me off. This is going to replace Mini 10 , which I deemed to slow for my average task.

berapa harga dia ek..
cam teringin gak nak cari notebook ni..
@Topo RM2399. Beli kat HP store midvalley
I was going to buy this one for my work laptop but decided it was not powerful enough so I settled for the bigger brother DV3.
In hindsight, I should’ve bought this one as its slimmer and lighter (with an external DVD rom). With all the mobility of being in sales, this is less painful on my shoulder to carry around.
@WinnieKepala – Yes,at 1.64kg DV2 won a hand down over Dv3. And Dv2 is more beauty
amd athlon neo ngan amd turion mana lagi laju sbb laptop saya pakai amd turion. tp lom penah dgr pasl amd neo ni..processor baru ka?
@Alya – Athlon Neo is the dual core version of Athlon . Same goes to Turion which has single core and dual Core. Which one is better? Athlon Neo is designed to compete with Atom, which Turion is for normal notebook
My mom just got one for me since I’m studying away from home. What’s your verdict like, now that you have been using it for 2 months plus?
@e2wen – I love everything except the battery life (last only 2.45 hours), slight heat on the left’s palm rest after used for a long time, the touch pad which is less sensitive when your finger is wet/oily. Overall, it is cool notebook
Ah, glad to know it’s a fine machine. (:
What’s stopping you from getting a 6-cell battery?
(know through reviews that the in-pack one is only 4 cells, correct me if I’m wrong)
And the palm rest is still warm even with the use of a cooling pad?
@e2wen -Mine is 6 cell batteries as well, but I set the power to ‘Hp Recommend’ because usually I open many applications at the same time. If I set it to ‘power saver’, it is little bit sluggish and if I typing it I can feel the lagging. Power saver mode can last the battery for about 4 hours.
Using cooling pad or stay in aircond room does reduce the heat.
I see. You have been a great help. Thanks so much! Keep up the good work! (: *thumbs up*
