Blackberry App World goes to Singapore and Indonesia
Indonesia and Singapore become the latest countries to get Blackberry App World, as announced on the latest Blackberry blog post. That means, the Blackberry population in Singapore and Indonesia will be able to install Blackberry App World and then download the apps on the fly, right from the device.
While that could be seen as the sign that Blackberry popularity grows in this part of the world, other South East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Philippine are still without the access to that apps inventory. That’s pretty much disappointing news, especially to the new comers who just come aboard from other smartphone platform that offers massive apps.
Mobile applications or knows more as apps, has become crucial part of smartphones in the recent years, and probably determine the success and longevity of any model in the market. It’s add more values to the smartphone beyond it’s basic function, as communication tool.
Although RIM continue to roll out Blackberry App World to more countries, but the pace is unacceptable to increasingly demanding users. The growing threat from other smartphones should be looks seriously by RIM, in order not to be seen irrelevant. As such, please.. please open Blackberry App World to everyone.. now.
