Philips LCD TV

We bought a new LCD TV last week, after our 3 years old Samsung start showing the sign of old TV, the screen become blueish!! You does not feel like watching TV anymore, because you can’t really enjoy the movie when all what you watch turned blue. Dark blue, lite blue and many other blue..
3 years old TV is still quite new in my standard. When I was kid, we watch the TV that my father bought 7-8 years back. I’m not sure if you know SINGER branded TV, where the TV’s body made from wood, and comes with the ‘sliding’ door (I can’t figure the exact name to call it), where you can fully close it.It has 4 ‘leg’ so you don’t need any TV rack to put the TV higher from your kid reach.
Well, what happen actually is, that TV works just fine. Not until our Luqman learn how to climb a top the TV set, smash his ‘vehicle‘ to the TV and know where the on/off button and how to use it. All these skills contribute to an end of the pity Samsung TV. He seems unhappy after we took away the old TV, because he knows where all the hidden buttons are, whereas he need some time to figure out where the buttons are hiding on the new TV.
We bought this TV from Seng Heng, which currently run promotion and contest to mark its 20th anniversary. We end up with Philips LCD TV, mainly because of it’s price and specification which is good enough for our needs. It has Video Input Output, 2 x HDMI, VGA, PC Input, USB and many others. You can read the full spec here.
It’s just an average LCD TV, but we’re quite satisfied with our catch. So good bye blueish Samsung..
At the mean time, enjoy the photos of the TV which still wrapped in it’s thin plastic cover.

The TV looks pretty good, unfortunately next month you’ll realize that the price has dropped and a new technology appeared on the market. These days, we can’t really keep up with gadgets.
@Andy.. I couldn’t agree more with you about this
hi…is this tv very good cause i like to buy it. is there any problem with this set?
LCD TVs are having some massive price drops. pretty soon those big 32′ screens will be dirt cheap.:;~
i just wish that LCD TVs would have more contrast and brighter colors like CRTs;”;
what i do like about LCD TV’s is that the cost keeps dropping each year ‘:-
how to open USB files?
after i connect the USB, i don’t know where to open it.
@zati – it cannot read the content on the USB file, and there is no way to do it (as it is not designed for that). The USB port is meant for service or firmware upgrade only I think.
