Knowing your highest Adsense earning posts in your website is no longer a mystery, if you have integrated your Adsense with Google Analytic  accounts. Why would you need to know that?

It is everyone’s dream to have big earning from Adsense. That’s when integrating Google Analytics into our Adsense comes to the picture, providing more statistical data about your Adsense income, to help you achieve that goal.

Google Analytics can only track Adsense for Content data, meaning that,  Adsense for Feeds, Adsense for Search, and Adsense for Domain  is not traceable. But that’s more than enough when Adsense for Content represents most of your Adsense earning.

What will you discover about your Adsense from Google Analytics?

Top Adsense Contents

This is the most important of all, you wanna know which contents generates income the most, right? Pretty straight forward, having identified these highly income contents, you can

  • Optimize that post (on-site optimization).
  • Identify the topic with most income based on the top content, and focus on that in your future posts.

Filter the Contents

Back to the ‘Top Adsense Topic’ screen, use ‘Filter’ function (at the bottom of the screen) to analyze how certain keyphrases perform in your ads.  Keep in mind that filter looks for the content’s title only, not the whole content.

Filter is extremely a useful function, because it allows you to group posts with certain keyphrases together,  and how much it has generated income so far. This is one way to identify the topics that bring you earnings the most, besides the Top Adsense Content list. On the sample below,  I filter key-phrase ‘Celcom’ which generate $15.16.

Top Adsense Referrers

Besides knowing the top contents, knowing where it comes from is equally important. Although Google is dominant in internet world, you’ll be surprised on how other websites contribute significantly to the number of visitors that click ads on your websites.

This is more towards off site optimization. By identifying the websites that bring the visitors that click your ads, you can concentrate to that website, looking what visitors from there looking at your website. If it is search engines, optimize the SEO. If it is a forum, make sure you become an active member over there. These are just few examples that you can do if you know where they come from.

Back to the stats, by default, it will show you the ‘Adsense Revenue’ graph,  but if you click on the small arrow beside it, there are more graph options to choose, such as Adsense Ads Clicked and etc.  If you have Goal setup, it will be visible here as well.
