Celcom broadband plus HP Mini netbook packages introduced
Celcom unveiled another notebook broadband package with HP Mini 1000TU netbook plus Celcom Broadband USB model. It priced at RM88 per month for 2 years period. This is an addition to its broadband with HP Compaq plus notebook promotion that has been on running since last year.
As price comparison, Celcom’s new broadband notebook package is 1 buck cheaper compared to Maxis’s broadband package which comes with Dell Inspirion Mini 9, priced at RM89 per month.

i checked out this offer at a local dealer and was told that only credit card holders of maybank and cimb qualify. what a letdown as i don’t carry either!

- RM88 * 24 months = RM2122 (6 montha free broadband 5G data transfer (no SMS, Voice) subscription + netbook + modem)
- RM2122 – RM1699 (netbook worth) = RM413 / 6 month = RM68 (which they claim as free subscription actually not, you are paying it)
- RM68 * 18 months = RM1244 is a must for 18 months
For this package, what u get is free modem from what I can see, good luck.

afraid i’m not sorry at all but am glad that i don’t own a maybank card. otherwise, i would have gotten caught in a ‘scam’.
see, the payment rm88 for 24 months is towards the netbook and modem with free celcom broadband for 6 months. after that, beginning the 7th month, the bills are rm88 plus rm68.
this promotion is very misleading and wonder how many ppl are banging their heads against the wall ?????
Don’t be fooled by the advertisement cos there is nothing free nor special about the offer.
I was at the Celcom Office today all fired up and was told that one must get addition information from the office or otherwise you will find yourself tied down with 2 years and feel cheated.
Terms and conditions.
1. You need to pay Rm88x 24 (Rm2112) all at once and then you will only enjoy free internet for 6 months. Then, you need to pay Internet access for the rest of the terms @ Rm68…snf you will be penalised if you didn’t complete the 24 months.
What is the truth under the package is that you buy the computer and get 6 monhts free access only. Don’t be fooled!!
look cheating customer. RM88 x 24mth = RM2112 – RM68 x 6mth(free subscript)= RM1704 (hp mini just selling RM1499 only)
