Apparently, Wordpress  has added Twitter widget on Wordpress.com blog. You can have it as well by going to your widget section.

Unlike a lot of Twitter plugins for Wordpress self-hosted blog, which sometime require authentication to allow you to tweet from the Wordpress Dashboard as well as other features, Twitter Widget can merely showing the recent tweets on the sidebar.

You can show Twiter updates for more than one Twitter account, as what it need is only the Twitter ID. That means you can display others people tweet too!
