Microsoft Announce Translator Web Page Widget
On Mix 09 event, Microsoft introduce language translation widget, which allow you to translate to any language without leaving that page.
The widget is embeddable to any web page that support javascript. Microsoft Translator is customizable, in term of colour, size and multi-language UI.
There’s also auto-detect feature that will pick up your visitor’s browser language and offer up the word “Translator” in their native language.
At the moment, this widget is invite-only service that require invitation code, you can apply for the code here.
Interlecta released a similar widget in October last year (as far as I can remember). Using Moztrans (interlecta’s widget) works directly on the page you are reading. You can see it at http://home.interlecta.com/desktop Does not require invitation, has good interface and works well.
