After XPS, this is going to the best designed and the most beautiful notebook ever from Dell. Adamo showcasing the level of artistic the designers at Dell could stretch beyond the ‘boxie’ and dull looking design . It just not the beauty that this notebook carried on the market, but it bring together the symbol of elegance and exclusivity on its sign.
Adamo developed with durability in mind. The chassis made from aluminum with unibody design , the first of it kind from Dell. With 0.65 inch thick, it is probably the thinnest notebook in the world. As comparison, Macbook Air has 0.16 to 0.76 inch thick, from its thinnest point at the edge. Thanks to aluminum , the weight reduced significantly at 1.81 kg (4.0 lb), compared to other similar size notebook on its class.
After all this is premium prized notebook, with well choosen and premium hardware, to make it appeal to its targetted market.
There are 2 model offered, sharing similar specifications, except on the external chassis looks. The black color chassis called ‘Onxy’, and another one with pearl colour called ‘Pearl’
Price wise, there are 2 versions available in the Dell US store, ‘Branded’ and ‘Desire’ priced at $1999, and $2699 respectively. ‘Branded’ considered as the lower end version, with less powerful specification. They were differentiate bythe main gems hidden under the hood such as CPU power, RAM size, operating system and etc.
For our local market, a quick check on Dell Malaysia store only showing the higher end version, with starting price from RM9989. That’s the staggering amount you have have to part away, if you want to own one of this gorgeous. Great design, but very high price. I would buy Macbook, because Adamo runs Vista.
RM9989? almost the same with Mac Book Pro 17 inch..
This is Mac Pro version of windows
The one thing that really tempts your instincts is the keyboard. All the other features are impressive but not exclusive I think. Nevertheless, this machine is a beauty.
