In order to provide the feeling as if Google apps are just like another applications installed on your local computer, Google Doc team yesterday via their Google Pack, releasing tiny app that taking care of Google apps shortcuts on your computer.

Once installed, it will place Google Apps’s shortcut on desktop, start menu as well as add-remove-program. Opening Google Apps was now a breeze from this shortcuts. App such as Gmail or Google Doc will opened on the streamline version of Google Chrome by default.

I’ve noticed this shortcut(but no on start menu program) on my desktop ever since using offline Gmail. Good to know that it is now available for other apps as well.
