It is quite interesting to read 2 rumors about iPhone that surface this week.  Whether the rumors are baseless, or going to be true in future, but it just shows how popular iPhone is.   Any updates about it will get huge attention on the net and probably position it among the most sought after gadget in the world.

$99 iphone – Honestly, I love to see this to materialize, but without extremely reduced features that could make the iPhone less interesting. This rumors however doesn’t seems to receive the good response from fellow tech observers such as VentureBeat, after Apple clearly denying such ideas during their recent earnings call.

But if this is real, with price at $299  , by the time its reach our grey/black iPhone market, we could see significant reduce ‘cost of ownership’ to own an iPhone . At the moment, the fully-legally-unlocked 16GB iPhone 3G set priced at Rm2.7 – 2.8k, and probably the lite version of iPhone could be sell below RM2000. Remember again, this is however just the rumors.

New 16 GB iPhone – This is more interesting! The post has photo showing the new iPhone case with the new model number. That’s all, no other info though.

If this model indeed real, we could see price cut on the current 16GB iPhone model as the seller clearing the stock for the upcoming new model. Do you have other iPhone rumors? Le me know ok..
