Google Sync bring Gmail Contacts and Google Calendar events to your phone

It doesn’t really matter if this is actually Microsoft technology (Microsoft Exchange) , that Google licensing it. In fact,  they should collaborating more, in joint-effort to made the internet a better place for everyone.

The real beauty here is how Google Sync, unveiled yesterday by Google, able to make our life easier. It works by synchronizing your Google Calendar and GMail Contact (for the time being) to iPhone and Windows Mobile phones.

Google Sync is a two-way service, which means you can make any changes on your phone or in your Google Account. At the end of the day, both will have similar data regardless where the changes made before.

The setup is pretty straight forward. Choose your devices and follow the instruction carefully. It took me less than 5 mins to get its working.

List of phones where this service is available.

Head to m.google.com/sync to give it try.. My experiment’s screen shot as below.

F.Y.I. Even though it is posted that Google Sync is available for Sony Ericsson phones….it is not. I have tried many links and there is no download to support Sony Ericsson. If anyone has different information, please let me know. I am dissapointed that this feature is not available as it is on Blackberrys
