If you want to add Facebook Connect in the your blog not in a simple way, try
Dented Reality’s instruction.  You’ll learn how to use Facebook application and at the same time adding Facebook Connect feature to your blog. Warning, it is little bit tricky.

Want something simple?? Try plugin from sociable. I’ve tried it briefly before and I love the option to send the comment to the Facebook profile. Beside that, the plugin came with the widget to show the Facebook’s user who  just visited your blog, and connect with it.

Stumble this video from Mashable which shows how to add  Facebook Connecto the blog, in which DentedReality show the steps by steps on their blog.

Notes : Submarine internet cable cut seems like causing the call to Facebook Connect slow and slightly impacting your site loading.

  1. Hi,
I am trying to add FB Connect to a client’s site.
I have it so that it successfully logs a user in.
Now, I am trying to add a feature to allow the user to invite other Facebook friends.
You can see an example of this here: http://insolia.com/test2.html (I can’t guarantee this URL will remain valid…).

    Thanks,
    Josh

    hi,
I am very much interested in doing the fb connect.
I have gathered important knowledge and seen the runaround demo codes.
Can any one please suggest me for the following point :

I have an image/instance of my web application server. All i need is that i have to start embedding the php scripts provided by fb into my webapp at certain pages. But the biggest problem is that if i make it and i want to test it initially what should i do to the “CALLBACK URL”

Is fb connect development only possible when i give a Public IP in callback url?

If i don’t possess a public IP to be provided in callback url
    what is another alternative?

Is there any sample instance provided by fb so that i can put into my local system and test the proper functionalities for inter server communications without a public ip?

  4. zaki says:

Callback URL is your home/base website URL.
