A glimpse of Makcik PC, Jen-ii, iDola and WIWI
Those that skeptical about the Makcik PC project, I just got something that you would be glad to know . I can’t tell if the machine is ready for mass production, but the machine is actually WORKS and have been showcased on numbers of IT exhibitions around the world, including last week’s Mimos Technology Preview

Mak Cik PC – The concept or code name of this project
Jen-II – Simple computing device or the maybe can I say is the stripped version of idola, contain basis computing capabilities. Priced less than RM500. Run on proprietary OS or Linux. The same design as iDola, its more superior sibling
iDola – Tablet PC with full fledged computing capabilities. Powered by Intel Power.Priced less than RM1000. Run on WinXP or Linux.
WIWI – The combination of WIFI & WIMAX in one device to stream the broadband wireless internet connection. Slated to be released at next year 4th quarter.

since we already hv the technology and expertise, why dont we make use this for the school PC?
i think it just a matter of timing. Terengganu use Intel Classmate, I can’t tell if they’ll opt for iDola if it available right now
